Theme 4: Climate change and future sustainability
4.1 Open and green spaces, footpaths and green infrastructure
Strategy to give access for all people to ample green and open spaces for recreation, leisure and relaxation. Protection of our rural hinterland and creation and protection of other open spaces e.g. allotments; parkland; play areas; sports pitches; nature reserves; woodland and tree planting areas.
4.2 Traffic, transport and parking
A transport strategy, both public and private, for the parish and arterial approach roads. This will need to accommodate more residents and visitors while working to reduce emissions, carbon footprint and improve air quality.
4.3 Renewable energy
Strategy for transition to a more renewable and sustainable future including consideration of projects such as wind turbines and solar energy.
4.4 Flooding and drainage
To ensure adequate drainage and flood protection for all new developments
4.5 Biodiversity and wildlife
To protect, conserve and encourage Bodmin’s rural and urban flora and fauna
